97 gmc 3500 4x4
only 80,000 miles on it
5.7L vortec
completely stock so far
no rust!!!!

If you're asking if that'll tow a ZJ....yes. I have a 1990 Chevy K2500 with the 5.7 (non-vortec) and I trailer my ZJ with it quite often.

yeah im excited to have something that can tow my zj, now i just need to find a trailer

yeah when i was looking at trucks there was an older 2500 that was diesel, it would have been nice, but they guy was asking too much.

any suggestions as to what would make this a better tow rig?

Trailer brakes and a good spare. If you don't haul a lot of stuff in the bed a good tool box.

I just threw a set of air shocks on mine in the rear and that helped out a ton with the rear squat when I've got the ZJ back there. Also trailer brakes like mentioned already.
