Is anyone from Phoenix/Flag area leaving Thursday and interested in a caravan???

Kim and I will be leaving on Thursday also around 8 am or 9 am.Those two hills going up to Flag puts a hurting on my 4.0,will slow me down to around 60 or so.

Sounds good to me, I've never been to Moab. I too have 4.0 so slow going for me.

I will being leaving the Phoenix area around 8 or 9 as well. I am right off the I-17 near the Happy Valley exit, also in a 4.0, but with 488's ;-)

I don't want to hold you back up the mountains.Were going to try and leave by 7 if we can just to beat some of the heat and traffic out of town.

Hahaha! I'm already here! The drive was fast and the roads were good. No construction. I filled up in Flagstaff, and then bypassed Kayenta and Blanding. They are all over $4.00/gallon! I was able to fill up in Monticello for just under 4.00.

I got here early and ran Elephant Hill. Decided to run into Moab and get a room for the night.
I'll be posting the teaser pics in a few minutes.

Did you take 40 to the 191 Dan to bypass Kayenta and Blanding?I would think that would take longer.

Sorry about that, I meant that I didn't stop for gas in either city. I did drive through them though.
Oh, the gas station in Monticello was Woody's for <$4.00/gallon.

I am planning on leaving by 3am Thursday, wanna bet the traffic and heat from Chandler.
