Arlo and I made it up to the annual cleanup of the shooting area that's on the way to an extreme course just outside of Boulder. Douchefuck shooters make an indescribable mess, and once a year we (the 4-wheeling community) fill at least one rolloff dumpster with their shit (appliances, televisions, computers, you name it, it's there). There's still small stuff up there (shot shell wadding, brass, etc.), but as you can see, it looks a million times better now.

Sorry I didnt see there was a cleanup. Also, that looks great for a before. I have seen it 10 times worse than that. Not that that was good, I know it can be worse. Thanks for representing and cleaning it up.

I'm glad we do this annually. Last year it was a real shithole and we felt like we could have done more when we filled up the dumpsters and were told to stop.

I don't tend to look at that area much since I don't run Carnage - I've run it once, and all it did was succeed in pissing me off. Parking a slider on a rock and gassing it so you can get around a nasty obstacle, oil in the trail, broken down shitboxes blocking the trail, etc. I just stay the fuck away.

What I do though is make as big of an appearance as I can to show the environmentalists that the fuckheads are NOT the majority of wheelers (or at least try). I'll be working on another post and cable project this year to first block off Carnage when it's officially closed, and then to help with building a new extreme route up higher.

Bullshit part about this though, is we're not cleaning up after wheelers - we're cleaning up after douchefag assfuck retarded gun nuts. Not marksmen - marksmen shoot at valid targets, police their brass and clean up their targets. These are bonafide dicklickers who bring fucking appliances up there, shoot them up and leave them to be picked up by the wheelers once a year.

End fucking rant....for now.

I agree with ya Jim, I've only ran Carnage once, and that was plenty for me. I went up there once to actually go shooting, but came prepared to clean up my own shit, and more. So as I'm driving up to LHC, I took a quick mental inventory of what I had in the Jeep. 12 gauge, .22, several hundred rounds of ammo, a shovel, and a bunch of garbage bags. Honest officer, I swear, I'm going to clean something up not going to kill someone and dump the body!!!!

:supz::supz::supz::supz:

I've been known to go plinking in the past at a spot above Buffalo Creek, adjacent to a former friend of mine's property. However, I police my brass, I police my targets.

Every time I run any trail in the LHC system, I come home with 1/2 to a full bag of trash, or something big to dispose of. Sure wish I didn't have to do that, but it's the unfortunate truth. That area is a shithole with decent obstacles.

Pretty sad when you look forward to a cleanup event that fills whole rolloff dumpsters, eh?

Thanks for going and clwaning up. I have run carnage quite a few times and that is the part that always bothered me. I you had gone up LH to the other range i bet it was even worse:shake:

The other range was actually closed a couple weeks ago, permanently. Pretty happy about that.

Why did they close that other range? Too much trash?

Stray rounds zinging residences and trails. Got pretty scary for a bit there.
