Went out to Moab with a great group from CO4x4 from the 25-29th.
This was quite the action packed trip for me. My brother (Chris) and I left Denver at around 9:00 and didn't roll into Moab until about 8:00 after losing a ujoint cap on the front axle about 40 miles outside of Grand Junction. I had a spare axle, but broke some of my tools trying to get it replaced. So I taped what was left of the ujoint and drove to Wally's. After about an hour of meet and greet, I was back on the road. -For me, this trip was all about ujoints (which is ok, they're cheap. :) ).-
We ran Metal Masher, Hells Revenge, Porcipine Rim (bike), Moab Rim, Green Day, Potato Salad and Fins and Things (night).
On green day I broke a ujoint in the rear shaft and after a while found out that the yoke was bent too. Removed the rear shaft and drove to Moab Outpost and picked up a new yoke. The only downside was it didn't balance well so we drove home around 55, not to bad, just took a bit longer (7 hrs).
Awesome trip and now I'm all excited about GSW! The trails I didn't get to do here I'm doing then, so I'm ready to go back. :D
Also a HUGE thanks to Justin (from Grand County 4x4 club), Wally and Frank for helping me get back on the road again. These people walk the walk and I owe them many cold ones! :partyman:
