Went out to Moab with a great group from CO4x4 from the 25-29th.

This was quite the action packed trip for me. My brother (Chris) and I left Denver at around 9:00 and didn't roll into Moab until about 8:00 after losing a ujoint cap on the front axle about 40 miles outside of Grand Junction. I had a spare axle, but broke some of my tools trying to get it replaced. So I taped what was left of the ujoint and drove to Wally's. After about an hour of meet and greet, I was back on the road. -For me, this trip was all about ujoints (which is ok, they're cheap. :) ).-

We ran Metal Masher, Hells Revenge, Porcipine Rim (bike), Moab Rim, Green Day, Potato Salad and Fins and Things (night).

On green day I broke a ujoint in the rear shaft and after a while found out that the yoke was bent too. Removed the rear shaft and drove to Moab Outpost and picked up a new yoke. The only downside was it didn't balance well so we drove home around 55, not to bad, just took a bit longer (7 hrs).

Awesome trip and now I'm all excited about GSW! The trails I didn't get to do here I'm doing then, so I'm ready to go back. :D

Also a HUGE thanks to Justin (from Grand County 4x4 club), Wally and Frank for helping me get back on the road again. These people walk the walk and I owe them many cold ones! :partyman:

I love looking at pics of Moab. It's absolutely gorgeous out there. I really need to get out there sometime.

That's some pretty sweet flex in the second video. Looks like the TNT kit gets the job done!

Damn nice pics. It's really pretty out there. If I counted right...pics 11 and 14 would be good calendar pics. Which are the ZJ in the shadows at the base of a cliff with nice mountain view in background. Second one is you climbing up with winding river in background. Great pics and I agree...if all you needed was a few ujoints...it may be a pain but it's cheap.

Yeah Dave, I was pretty nervous lining up to it. Surprised to say the least.

I was in Moab Saturday, ran Spike. I saw on Colorado4x4.org (http://www.colorado4x4.org) you guys were going to be out there at the same time but I was only there for a day. I don't have many pics of my rig, but I caught some good ones of the Pinzgauer in action:

I visited the parts shrine at Double Whammy and took a pic of my rig in front of it - didn't even think of doing it this time though, I knew I only had one day to get back to Denver:

Despite trying to be very careful on this trip, I did manage to bend the driver's lower control arm when I went off of a 5ft drop. I'd just had a large crack in the same arm welded. Ack. Made for an interesting drive back (it took total concentration with my left foot firmly planted and both hands on the wheel to stay between the lines - I was totally exhausted by the time I pulled into my driveway):

Great pics! I'm just stuck in Indiana with rain and mud everywhere! The sun did come out today and I got in some great sporting clays practice. I just didn't want to power wash more mud off the WJ and then shovel it out of the street.
One day...one day I'll have to go west! Maybe after my son graduates from Butler University.

Unfortunately I work that day, but if the weather is bad and I can't fly, then I can go. Last minute deal for me.
