I have a friend who has a currie 9 in front but its from a yj, we plan to install it under his xj, just wondering where everyone gets their brackets from. I did some searching and found RE to be the most common but 400 bucks?

anyone go with anything else?

How soon do you plan on doing the swap?
I know Dan at www.ruffstuffspecialties.com (http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com)
is putting together a kit. Give him a call(916-600-1945)...he will take good care of you....Tell him Chuck from Slacker OffRoad sent you.

Make friends with the owner of a local shop. Best thing I ever did...offroad wise anyway.

we dont really have a shop, but hes friends with the guy that has an "automotive specialty" shop if thats what you want to call it, I personally think the owners a dick, he knows his shit yea but if you dont buy from him he wont help you with shit. And the shop is something like a big room with a set of wheels and tires and lot of pictures on the wall. He pretty much orders the shit off line then charges you install...

I'll check out ballistic, thanks guys

I still can't believe how cheap alot of the brackets from ballistic are. They really do have some good prices and great service. I have never had a single issue with them.

Yea I liked the looks of ballistic, ordered a catalog, so far those 90 bucks a pair coil buckets are the cheapest though. Thanks for all the replies.

He said it wont be anytime soon, so roughly how long would you guess that ruffstuff would take to fab some up?

I can vouch for Clayton's brackets on a front axle. They improve the clearance, upper mounts come with Johnny joints and they are super beefy. Attaching the upper on the diff side might be a chore though as you will have to weld to the housing. I was lazy and had Clayton do it himself. Everything went together smoothly which is a good sign of how much thought he puts into his products. Good luck with the purchase.

I too can say Clayton makes a great set of brackets, but for 90 bones I think those are your ticket.

I thought it was just the spring buckets at first glance, then I saw it was more. That is pretty cheap for what you get. It would be nice to hear from someone who has actually used one.

Theyre coil buckets, lower control arm brackets and shock mounts, all in 1. At $90, if I would have found these before my swap, I wouldve bought these instead of building some. At least stole their design.;)
