This is my 2nd post to the forums - thanks for having me here!
As suggested in another thread, I've started my own.

Here's my project... Older pics are here (http://picasaweb.google.com/CumminsTurboDiesel/JeepZJProject).

Rig:
'96 ZJ - 'Limited' - 4.0L, 42RE, leather, climate control, annoying message center thing, full-time 4x4 (blah!), 180k on the clock, no rust, etc.

Engine:
'01 Cummins "ISB 170" turbo diesel - 3.9L, 16-valve, common-rail injection - OEM ratings: 170HP @ 2600RPM, 420ft-lbs @ 1600RPM

Tranny:
'01 Allison LCT-1000, SAE bellhousing, 5-speed with 0.71:1 OD, 2wd tailhousing

Goals:
Keep it as close to OEM ride height/appearance as possible
Make it daily driver reliable - even though I won't drive it everyday, it would be nice to know that I could.
Make it fast enough to be a sleeper on the street and raise eyebrows at the drag strip.
Keep it 4x4 if possible

Once my new garage is built, I'll have a place to work on it and a lot more time to devote.

Thanks,
Matt
