1996 JEEP GRAND CHEOKEE LIMITED FOR SALE
Well some medical and financial circumstances FORCE the sale of the Jeep. I am sad that it MUST go, but I have responsibilities I need to handle first, so the toys must go (in a few years the goal will be to build a buggy once all these issues are behind me). Trust me I an not getting out of the whole offroading scene.
You can see tons of pics and read about the build here http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3556
The Jeep is located in Napa, Ca. I am not going to mess with shipping it if I can avoid it, but can meet someone within a reasonable distance of course.
Looking to get $5,500 or best offer for it (please no low ball offers) as you can see by the specs the engine/trans are worth that alone. Not looking to part it out unless there are a couple of people interested in a bulk of the parts right away, then I might consider it.
If you have any questions PLEASE feel free to ask, I can get you specific pictures or information if needed.
Spec:
4.6 Stroker Engine ($2500), built with the Accurate Power kit prior to them closing down. About 30,000 miles on engine/trans
Edlebrock header ($299)
High Flow Catalytic converter ($150)
Flowmaster 40 muffler w/ turndown ($75)
62mm Throttle body ($100)
Turbo City air intake jethot coated ($150)
Dual Optima Yellow tops w/ custom battery trays and Wrangler NW dual battery wiring kit ($700)
Custom 42/46RE transmission ($3000), had all of the V8 internals installed into the I6 housing so it would bolt up to the stroker. The V8 internals are about 30% stronger stock, but I had all racing clutches installed w/ koleen steels and Kevlar bands with a shift kit as well. The also custom made the torque converter,
o billet cover
o hardened center pump hub and turbine spines
o larger clutch for t/c lock up
o clutch made of carbon fiber / Kevlar
o heavier springs for the clutch
o fully rollerized bearings (no bushings)
Clayton Long Arm Suspension ($1800) not fully installed, subframe is welded in, arms are sitting in the garage
Stock 249 transfercase
Stock D30 open 3.73 gears w/ u-joint axle shafts (spare set included)
Stock D35 open 3.73 gears (spare shafts included)
Dual A pillar guage pod w/ Autometer oil temp and trans temp gauges ($150)
Rubicon Express 2 budget boost w/ DT3000 shocks ($200)
33x12.5x15 Goodyear MT/Rs (a little life left, but time to replace 2 of them) (33 spare)
Fenders trimmed to fit tires
Addco 1.25 military front sway bar ($200)
Trailready front bumper w/ Warn M8000 winch running synthetic rope ($1800), this is actually the FIRST prototype TR bumper so it has 7 light openings. Solenoid for winch located inside engine compartment, remote port installed in cig.lighter inside cab.
Trailready rear bumper ($1000) w/ corner guards and 2 receiver (no longer available w/ receiver)
Trailready gas tank skid ($150)
Rockers cut out and replaced w/ 3/16 wall rectangular tubing
All leather interior, power seats, sun roof, etc. etc.
I am sure there is other stuff I am forgetting or that is not note worthy as I have probably already listed too much.
The negatives:
The uniboy is buckled a little bit right behind the drivers side Clayton subframe from a wheeling trip this summer
It has been wheeled so there are some scratches and small dents on it, nothing major, but there is some
A couple of the doors stick a tiny bit from the unibody twisting and such, again nothing bad.
Time for 2 new tires and probably an alignment
Again thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions you might have, I HATE to see it go, but I have to do whats right for the family.
Dirk
