Less than 2 weeks and counting!
For your viewing pleasure. A few more shots of a couple trails we'll be running.
First, House Mountain. Great trail that crosses the wash several times allowing you to take on an obstacle or easily bypass it. We work our way up House Mountain where you get a view of Sedona, Jerome, Cottonwood and the Verde valley. You can even see the San Francisco peaks in Flagstaff. We drive through a huge cactus patch that looks like it was an some kind of experiment gone awry.
After House Mountain we worked back to the highway and towards the mining town of Jerome. From Jerome, we drive about 15 miles on forest roads to Smiley Rock Trail. Smiley Rock runs through tall pines and cool mountain air. The trail has nice obstacles as you run through the wash for a good amount of the trail. At the end of the trail, we end up at Mingus Mountain and make our way back to Sedona via the highway.
Enjoy the pics!
