is there anyone that makes a non-roller fairlead that can be used with cable and not rope?

Aluminum, moly-nylon, uhmw or delrin etc...

Yes. A lot of winch retailers give them away with their winches (often in addition to roller fairleads.)

All the materials you named are pretty soft. The one I have looks ferrous.

yeah they are all soft, thats why i asked i didnt know anyone who made a steel one, even if some of the non steel fairleads say the CAN be used but shoulnd't

Warn makes a hawse fairlead that works with cable. That's what I use and it works well.

I have a steel hawse fairlead I have never used. Don't know what shipping is to Can. but I would sell it for $20 plus shipping.
