First is this Saturday I'm thinking about Spring Creek or something close. I'll be with a TJ on 35s and a JK on 35s both locked. Should be fun.

and then...

Heading up to Montrose labor day weekend, camping Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with about 4-5 others.

Anybody want to come along?

Damn...if I wasn't helping a guy with a lift, I'd be on that spring creek run like stink on shit.

I'd love to go but it sounds like I'd be out of my league.

Ted, what size tires do you run and lift? I've done springs creek bone stock before, its tougher though.... All the really tough obstacles, such as the winch hill and rock garden have bypasses.

Everything I've heard says Spring Creek is pretty much as hard as you make it.

I'm running a 3.5" F>R w/ 31's. Also have some rocker guards, custom front bumper and skid plates. I have some 33'x10.50s mounted and sitting in the garage but was waiting on those until I put the HP30 in and re-gear.

THe first obstacle where you double back is now a little harder, but an open TJ with 31's didn't have to much of a problem.

I got Pam through Spring Creek when she was open/open on 31's, no rocker protection and she made it okay. Took some pretty careful spotting though.

Ted, In my opinion I think you'd be fine to come along on Spring Creek. 31s shouldnt create any problems, assuming the trail hasn't changed too much. You're more than welcome to come along if you'd like.

We are meeting at El Rancho in Evergreen at 8:30 saturday. Take I-70 to the mtns and the the Evergreen Parkway exit straight ahead you will see the El Rancho restuarant next to the Quality Inn and we'll be meeting in that parking lot

I've got to bail, sorry. My folks are coming into town next weekend and my wife is on my a$$ to get a couple projects around the house finished before hand.

However, I am 80% sure that I'm going to wheel with some other ZJ owners up at Kelly Flats in a few weeks. (25th).

Well right now its still up in the air as to what we are doing, but I'll be there for 3 days and we will be running all three. I've never been there so I don't know exactly what trails are the best to run, or where they are. Most the people going are pretty well built so it should be fun! I'll keep you posted on it.
