I thought the same thing. Now, I'd pay anything for that security.....

Before......

Half hour later.......

http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q175/H2ORodeo/jeephalf1.jpg

Everyone is slightly bruised but alright.....Next rig ( when I can afford it!) gets a cage and 5 point harnesses first thing.......

Be safe out there.......

Noooooo my poor ZJ. Dam that sucks man im glad you are ok though looks pretty brutal. Well it led a very good life and it went out the way it would of wanted to, wheeling. Are you scrapping it or gonna buggy it?
R.I.P- alot of girls got taken down in that thing, haha

bummer, but it doesn't look too bad. I bet you can hammer out the roof, strip the interior and put in a cage and have a pretty wicked trail beater.

am I the only one who remembers the retarted amount of TV's and stereo equipment that Chris put in this jeep. What would he think about this carnage? :D

After 3 ( fairly violent) rolls, I'd venture to guess the unibody is done fer'. I could still buggy it out but I like being able to drive to and from the trail sometimes. Who knows? At this point I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. ( no pun intended) I may try and find a ( gulp) TJ that's been totalled for no reason by an ins. company and toss the axles and suspension under it. Full width TJ! Giddy-up!
Chris, it did go out in style! Rolling, flipping, screaming ( mostly by me), crashing style:D !
If'n I part it out I'll post up here first! the interior is still in pretty good shape ( minus the headliner and overhead console) Hell, we even found the rearview mirror farther up the hill! Thge passenger side rear door and glass is completely untouched! Weird how that happened, given my 2 yr old son was sitting there:prayer: . Not a scratch on him and he HAD FUN! Every other peice of glass or body panel was touched.........HARD.

Wow that must of been scary to have your little boy in there. Concidering 3 rolls the roof and pillars held up pretty well. What trail was that by the way?

Maybe "rolls" isn't exactly the term then. The first one was a pretty standard roll. Landed on our wheels. Then the drivers rear lost it's bead and set us on our bounce down the hill. "BOUNCE"! That's the word! I bounced it! The body held up really well considering. The a-pillar on my side is way gone, but the rest isn't as bad as I would think after that kind of carnage.
Yeah, my boy scared the piss outta me. He had been outside the rig the whole way down the canyon and we decided to take the "bypass" on the last obstacle, so we loaded him up, strapped him in, and boom. No more bypasses for this guy!

Trail is called "twister". It's up here in Reno. It was our tune up day for the Jeepers Jambo on the 'con last week. Sux, cause the zeej was really gettin' it up until the "bounce"

I don't know, my rig went over a couple times and looked much more worse for wear than yours does (though it's near impossible to tell from pictures ) and I continued to wheel it and roll it for 4 more years. I don't think it's collapsed enough to warrent not buying it back, putting a windshield in and some window nets, and going after it some more with less concern for the body.

IIRC I went on that trail a few years ago in my step-brothers Ram Charger. We almost rolled as well, what a rush that was. Sucks that it happened though. :(

With the weight of the rig, I'd say it wound up being about 6". all together. There wasn't much front fender left. Every time a tire rubbed, the cutoff discs came out!

I wonder if RR will use the smashed pic in their next ad?
