Is this something anyone on here owns or even would consider safe?

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/322675/1

From what i saw, those look like stock dana30/35 under it with upgraded gears.

Looks like the axles are not stock (HP44/9" on the 2nd page), but that is way too much lift. :screwy:

AndyZJ

Oh i skipped to page 3 for flex shots. They looked so skinny with all that lift.

Less than 15"

At least throw some fucking tires under it - bigger than 37s

I wouldn´t go higher than 7"-8""
But WTF 15" :screwy:

AndyZJ

He's got coilover shocks which i think are pretty sick, but what kind of wheeling does he do where he needs that much ground clearance? 1TonZJ has 38's under his and i don't think he's got 15" of lift.

OverkillZJ
07-31-2007, 11:27 AM
That things higher than by ZJ buggy was, and uh, I ran 42's. It's poorly built, hate to say it since he looks waaaaay to proud of it.

That thing is a POS. If I have have the money for the axles I want I will be putting 37's on keeping the same 6" of lift I have now. Anything over six is not necessary and makes it ubber tippy.

I remember that guy. I unloaded on him on JU years ago. His reasoning why his rig was so awesome was because his rear LCA's were like 60" long or something.

what a POS

ok i know i may not be as skilled or knowledgeable as some of you guys carving this guy - but consider this- if it doesn't break when he wheels it the way he has built it then isn;t it ok?

i understand the too tippy comment - he even notes that in one photo, but isn;t it really about his happiness with the truck? (he seems very happy from his gay ass pretty boy shots).

i think i would reserve judgement on the trucks capabilities until i saw it in action - unless someone can provide some more solid reasons why this is a bad design. to me the adjustablity of his suspension seems like a cool feature - he still seems like a poser though.

Sorry, but at that height, it's not possible to run most of the harder obsticles... Even my buggy has gone over where it shouldn't, on full widths and not as top heavy. i see this rig as no more capable than when mine was low, locked, and on 35's

Because of size and center of gravity, I would argue it is less capable than that.

I saw it awhile back on ebay... he wanted like $10k for it. I think he had one/two bids.

That guy lives/ lived close to me and i use to see that heep around town. It had rediculous body roll and I thought he was going to put it on it's side pulling out of a parking lot one day.

Ha oh man that cardomain page brings back memories. What a homo.

I think anything over 10" is plain SCARY, and at that height you'd better be running at least 42's and some heavy-ass one tons to keep the COG low. I don't know why anyone would go that high except maybe Tommy and a bunch of show-truckers. No offense, Tom.

I'd way rather cut something off than go past 8" of lift in ANY vehicle.

I think its the base model, no power options and cloth interior with the 6 cylinder

HAHA, I wonder if you have to tie it down when the wind blows? I would really think that his spring setup would have to be super soft to allow the flex and not topple it over but in the same sense wouldnt it be too soft to keep the body stiff were needed? I dunno...seems like a poorly thought out plan, either way its pretty f'in lame:punish:

I didn't realize this post was still going. Okay, how about a comparison. Would you rather be gay in this:

Or gay in this:

Choose wisely.

I was going to say something about that gay ass white jeep too. I like this shot because I think it puts the retard factor really in focus.
http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/2782/3441/31954220005_medium.jpg?311713-327

He's got to much flashy crap and I felt like I needed to vomit after I saw it. But hey, I son't see any mud on it and I might put in a few bucks to send him a mall rated sticker because it would sum it all up since that's probably where it goes all the time. And I hope he doesn't have kids.... if he can make a jeep that ugly his kids can't look that much better.

And I noticed that the other guy had to take off his "ratings" because of "immature people" I would imagine that they all mocked him because he brings dumbass to a whole new level of being in the universe.

yeah it doesn't look like a US plate, like cody said an icelandic rig. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I fully agree there is nothing wrong with it. And I am sure is very capable for the type of wheeling they do. I know I would want my weight spread out over nice wide tires if I was wheeling over a frozen lake. :smt107

As Rodney Dangerfield used to say..."tough crowd, tough crowd". You should see the stuff out here in the desert in Southern California. I have seen 1968 4X4 Camaros with this kind of lift. At least it is interesting and it got you guys sqawking.

I say to each his own. ;)
