Scott's such a video whore :D

Almost 5 megs, so right-click and save as.

For grands, we had me, Scott (Colorado 5.9), Ryan (ArloGuthroJeep), Kamil (Froggo from JF), and Christie (ChrisT from here?)

Wheeler is a fun, (extremely) scenic, and challenging trail. The major obstacles had lines for everybody. We did get Scott to lift a wheel briefly, Christie didn't because her co-pilot didn't like it much.

Christie, your daughter is adorable :)

Of course, she took the hard line on the V :D
http://www.fp-kites.com/images/Jeep/Wheeler072107/All_Resized/Jeep%20196%20[1024x768].jpg

Scott took the other hard line, not the V itself, but the ledges next to it on the semi-bypass

Ryan trying to make it look easy
http://www.fp-kites.com/images/Jeep/Wheeler072107/All_Resized/Jeep%20136%20[1024x768].jpg

Kamil's second run out, this time with recovery points and sliders
http://www.fp-kites.com/images/Jeep/Wheeler072107/All_Resized/Jeep%20157%20[1024x768].jpg

My driver's side slider kinda bounced me back from a flop on this one. Fun line, just tippy. I'm told I lifted the back right wheel here, but yet to see a pic of it.
http://www.fp-kites.com/images/Jeep/Wheeler072107/All_Resized/Jeep%20414%20[1024x768].jpg

Stock arms with 4.75" of lift still droop pretty good. Passenger right was waaaay stuffed here.

Nice pics! Good turn out.
That's the line, where Scott 5.9 is, where Keith was way up on 3 wheels. Keith and I both took that line, very fun.

Coming up, Scott kept all 4 on the ground. Going down, he might have lifted about 6 inches. You guys were right. Really fun trail. At the obsticles, it was as hard as you made it. Multiple lines on each one except for the sharp turn near the top of bowling ball hill. That spot was a bit tricky for us open-diff guys :D

Oh geez! Now I have to go thrue the whole folder again to find it.

Here's the only two litlle movies I have. The photos will take longer. I have to denoise half of them. I forgot to put my camera down from 400 iso to 64. Lots or noise. They look really bad.

That's a UFO for sure. There were a bunch of them flying around when Keith and I were on Wheeler the week before. I thought all the UFOs up on Wheeler was common knowledge. That's why they call it WHEELer.

Yeah, I think I'm going to nix it. I just never took it off. Generally, I can crop it out, but sometimes you lose a good portion of the shot when you do that.

Last year when Keith, I & the kids were coming back down from Bill Moore we saw a real UFO. It hung there about ten or so minutes. It never moved. It finally just popped out & was gone. The sun was not at the right angle for it to have been a reflection of some sort that I could tell.

You can see the all the photos here. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v169/Colorado59/Bill%20Moore%20Lake%20July%2016%202006/?action=view&current=Dsc03917.jpg

Was it decided that it was a UFO, I had thought it was more like a ghost?

I actually remember seeing something like that near Buffalo Creek about 10 years back or so. Definitely weird. Hung there for what seemed like the longest time, then just disappeared.

I remember that day. Very strange and it seemed to be above the mountain tops and was very bright.

Nice pics! Thanks for the notice Jim, my parents got into town last weekend after driving from NY. They were not up to driving more that weekend. I will get out soon I hope. I got a new front axle this weekend so I have a swap coming up. 4.11s front and rear! That is huge for my 4.0.

Cristi, glad you made it out. I am dying to get Katelyn on a trail and see if she likes it. I have nightmares about your time in Moab happening to me. We will see what happens near the end of summer.

Ok since we were talking about UFO's in this thread I thought I would post this here insted of a new post.

When I was going threw photos of Hell's Revenge tonight, I came upon this photo my Dad took. I never noticed it before tonight. I'm very ashamed of myself.

Maybe, just maybe dad caught one. It was in 07 while doing the planners on 7 Mile. What ever it was, it was fast. The photo was taken at 1/500th sec. Perhaps I should send it to Cost to Cost.:D

I do remember that. The UFO passed over us right when Dave took out his T-case. There was even a flash of light, before the T-case let go. Perhaps a change in the metal's molecular structure led to the failure.

I miss Wheeler Lake trail, lots of fun when I lived in Colorado. Once I get married I might move back. Utah has some fun slickrock, but Colorado has better scenery and family type wheeling.
