Did you take any pics when you ran with us on Sunday. You didn't get to see much but you were able to see that Beerman (Charles) and I were starting to step it up a bit by the end of the day. Your rig is capable of doing more than you probably think it is. You would have probably shit yourself a couple of times but you would have had fun running with us on Saturday. Glad to have you come out. Hopefully you will return to most if not all bigdogs events.

Preppie, no I didn't get any pics of sunday, we seemed to move a lot quicker then we did saturday and I didn't seem to remember to tell my buddy. Yeah at the end of the run sunday Beerman really started to beat it, how long did it take you guys to get off the trail? I wish I would've ran with you guys sat. only if I had the transfer case skid. You can count on me being there more. CroncreteSwell, it was good to meet you guys too, make sure you bring yours next time.

HAHA...about 2 hours! It was a pretty crazy trail fix. When his short shaft broke...his passenger front wheel was a good foot and a half off the ground so we had to do a little riggin to get that driver shaft swaped. It was interesting having the whole front of his rig off the ground changing the shaft. Maybe Shadow will post a few pics of it.

Shadow. I like the pic you got of preppie's towing setup, I know it worked for him but I just have to laugh when I see it. Are you going to go to bigdogs in Sept?

Shit...I laughed when I saw it. It didn't help that I was using a contruction trailer that weighed 4k either. I was truely surprised how well it actually towed! I was around 9500 lbs total but it did good. It probably helped that it was all wheel drive and had the 4.7 HO motor in it. The short wheel base was honestly it's biggest down fall as it wanted to push when you went into a sharp corner at speeds but once you got into the corner it was fine.

All in all I was truely impressed but not want I want to use as a perminate tow rig by any means.

I'm about 100% sure I'll be there in sept. I'd like to say I'd be there in august as well but not sure about that one.

Preppi's tow setup of the weekend makes babies cry.

I pulled in at like 2am, saw that, and just said... W...T...F... Mostly it was parked next to Beermans big-rig!

:finga:

I just tried getting my junk off the trailer in 2wd still broken, that really didn't go well. I have 3.2 tires on the trailer now. Anyone got a crane?

Ya! I will be there in Sept (http://ept).

I offered to to tow preppi with 5.9 but he felt the 4.7 was a better option. :D It worked just fine! Sometime you have to work withing confined perameters!! Props to preppi for making the haul!!

Overkill build it, break it, get your shit back on the trail!!!:finga: Hope to see you in Sept.!!!!!!!!!!

You won't see that rig for at least a year or so, it'll be very different by then ;)

I'd tow with the WJ 4.7 over the ZJ 5.9 as well, the body is much stiffer, and the weight can't hurt.

Within a few weeks when I find a beater Jeep I like to cure my wheeling needs for awhile!

The buggy will be down til' at least next year. I'm done polishing a turd of an overly heavy frame. Time for something much much lighter. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait...
