Anyways, good pics man, and thats the reason I dont like rear sway bars.

The adco definately limits your flex in the rear a noticeable amount.

Still I think its worth it for on road handling if you DD it...

And on off camber stuff you don't feel as tippy.

Nice Dub. Run the factory rear sway bar. Doesn't limit flex, still feels nice in off camber stuff.

I am going to keep the adcco sence this Jeep sees 100+ miles a week on DD duty, much at fast highway speeds. The adcco does not limit rear up travel as the still hit the fender but down travel is certainly comprimized. On the other hand it does feel REALLY stable when offcamber.

Mine definately limits up travel a ton, I could fit 35's in the rear without trimming...

You only drive your heep 100 miles a week?

Then again thats more than I've driven mine in the passed 3 weeks by a bit :D

well... my commute from where I live to work is 18 miles x4 times a week... from where I live to class is less than a mile. During the school year I will work less and I will hardly be driving at all...

LOL, when Ryan gets his pink yoke picture out, they won't be confused.

Ok well there is alittle tech to contribute from my Jeep build.

Making a 249 yoke work on a 247.

WARNING! This is not exactly presicion machining here, but it worked.

Yes, the yoke is pink. It was the front output yoke from Tim's '94 249 that is now a reduction box, He was giving it to me to use for his 247 and he decided to have a good laugh before he came and got it.

The stock 247 CV yoke on the left, stock 249 yoke on the right. Notice where the splines terminate:

It was Sunday afternoon and there was not anyone that could turn the splines down on a "real" lathe so I got a little creative.

I centered the yoke on the chuck of the drill and put it in the vise:

While the yoke was spinning I took the dremel and ground down the splines uniformly to match that of the 247 yoke.

Final product:

BTW: We did this about 8 months ago and it is STILL working JUST fine!

Continuing on with the theme of off-the-wall fixes such as the 249 -> 247 yoke modification, you should not expect any less with this WJ recirculation (recirc) door fix.

he recirculation door is right above the blower motor, and the blower motor is right under the passenger side dash.

Here is the blower motor removed, and yes there is a quick disconnect for the wiring so you can pull it and get it out of the way:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b11/EMTimZJ1/WJ%20Recirculation%20Door/WJrecircdoor001.jpg

Here is a picture looking directly upwards, the blower motor assembly fits directly up in here. Removes with three 7mm hex screws (blue arrows) , you can also use the torx-bit, I think it is a T-25:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b11/EMTimZJ1/WJ%20Recirculation%20Door/WJrecircdoor008.jpg

Looking directly upwards again, you can see the recirculation door completely disconnected from the hinge and motor assembly. Yes it is upside down, we turned and propped it up to take a picture:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b11/EMTimZJ1/WJ%20Recirculation%20Door/WJrecircdoor010.jpg

By opening the glove box and removing these two rubber dampeners (for lack of a better term) you can fully open the glove box and have it swing down all the way:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b11/EMTimZJ1/WJ%20Recirculation%20Door/WJrecircdoor007.jpg

fter drilling a small hole in the recirculation door, a zip-tie is now securing the door closing off the vent to the cabin recirculation. It goes through the door and attaches to one of the plastic cross bars on the grate behind the glove box:

Yes, that is it. No fussing around with removing the dash or selling your newborn on eBay to cough up the dealership prices. No you do not have control over recirculated air or outside air, but if you need that then I hope you don’t stray to far from the mall parking lot! Wheel your junk and quit complaining!
