Glad to see Mike was OK except for a little headache.

keep it safe, and great pictures.

Its not just dented, I damaged the pillar on the door so I will be looking for a 97-98 door here in the next few weeks. Once I find one, the ol Hornet is going OD GREEN:D This will probably happen sometime in June. So what do ya think guys, should I take the cladding off? Where is NAGCA when you need it... LMFAO:D

I am not yet, I was going to donate but I gotta figure out this Paypal stuff since I hate writin checks. I believe my buddy Greenmachine is trying to create a link to his photobucket... again, we are not internet gurus when it comes to that stuff... we try to put more of that effort into the ol Jeep:D

Not a problem. PayPal is fairly easy, just go to www.paypal.com (http://www.paypal.com) and setup an account on your CC or checking account (I did CC since I think it gives you more control incase of fraud) then click on Send Money or what ever the tab is labeled and enter the email address that Dave has in the supporter section and send the funds.

Oh yea, welcome to MC. I won't bash you though and I would like to make it up your way to go wheeling one of these years. I rode shotgun with Jason (H3RESQ) a couple of months ago at Evens when I was in Oly for work and fell in love with another area and type of wheeling. Definately need to get the 33's on...

If you are using Photobucket you need to use the [IMG] Coded Pics to put photos on the forum .

Horus

Ya bud, use the [img] one on the photobucket code screen. I think it's the second to last one. I'm still figuring out these fancy smart TVs you talk to with the array of letter buttons that come with it. Setting up a paypal account is my next step.

What did happen to NAGCA anyway? I am actually starting to miss clear corners and sub enclosures. Besides, Washington OWNED the "trail run" section.

i just bought tow hooks from napa, and longer bolts, is that not the right way or do you just want to be fancy? Lee has a welder and the shop is at his house, there is also a tubing bender, cheep bottle jack kind, but it works. If you want we could whip you up bumpers in a weekend. His only requirement is lots of beer and welding wire.

GreenMachine
06-05-2007, 01:33 PM

No rear bumper and kevin's tow points?? CB...the Hornet just keeps gettin better n better. Lock up the front now and I will let you call your jeep my jeep's daddy.
The kevin's rad. support will gain you like an inch of approach angle:eek:
It wouldnt be hard to copy the design. If you're going the buggy route with it eventually, you'll probably end up making something like it or better. If i'd known better, i probably woulda just did the NAPA tow hooks like nw though:o

For the record I was not the one recording. And yes, I have since learned not to record unless I'm convinced something great is about to happen.

My buddy has secured a car dolly for this weekend. I'm gonna rip the rear doors, side glass, headlights and rear hatch off my Jeep. Then I'll use my hi-lift and a 2x4 or something to press the roof back up into position and knock the rest of the windsheild out. Then I'm towing it up to Evans this Saturday to wheel it one last time before I get another and do the swap. I WANT REVENGE ON THE 197! This will be Horus' last run, 9:00am at the lower 311 trailhead.

Just be careful if you roll it with no doors or rear gate and an already caved roof it's going to be REALLY weak. The roof will go completely flat really easy.

I plan on being very carful with my Jeep this weekend. No serious off-camber stuff or challenging hill climbs. I just want to play one last time before I swap to another ZJ.

I'd love to show you Evans GreenMachine. I did Evans in the middle of winter with a 2 inch BB and 235-75-15s and (this is key) sliders. Its only when you ask the XJ/ TJ crowd aboot it that you hear "Oh, no less than 33s locked front and rear.":shake: But this weekend reckless abandon will be my middle name.

If I can get the dolly for the weekend I'll be at Evans Saturday 9:00am and Possibly Elbe on Sunday. I'd like to use this Jeep to see what all the fuss is over this "Busywild" trail.:D

BTW I was just kidding XJ and TJ dudes.:smt049

Your going to love Elbe. I've run it many times back in my last rig. Tight and muddy although it's starting to dry out now.

No Elbe this weekend:( . Got screwed out of a tow dolly so I'm not going today. I DO plan on being at Evans Sunday though. If my bud from work can't come through with his enclosed trailer a dude I meet on PNWJeep has offered to drop his rig off there and then come get me with his trailer, very cool.:D So sun, rain, snow or "partly cloudy with a 40% chance of percipitation", whatever! wrap the dash in plastic wrap and hit trails hard.:supz:

What you doin Sunday H3RESQ?

I will go, but kinda feeling a little under the weather. I think Blaine gave it to me through the interweb.

If you have no one to go with give me a PM, I can go just don't feel like it. Althogh I might feel better tonight or by the morning.
