Sweetwater Creek or Sweetwater Brewery? Both are nice but I didn't think you could wheel at either :D.

Sweetwater is off of 75 head north from kennesaw to the rome cantin exit. Take a left off of the exit which puts you on I-20. Go about 8 or 9 miles, and take a left onto lower sweetwater road and you follow that for about another 1 or 2 miles and it turns into a dirt road. Then after that you will either take the first left or the second left out there there are two main trails and then tons of other ones as well that branch off the main trails.

And oh yeah sweetwater brewery would be nice, but these trails put you right at allatoona lake there are a bunch of different places to ride around the lake on the beach, lots of mud holes, and a lot of hill climbs as well, there arent that many rocks out there. But i am sure you wouldnt have a problem finding any.

Oh I have been there actually. Been about 4 years and didn't know it was called sweetwater, always just called it the allatoona meth lab maze. But it has a few decent hillclimbs and good access to the lake.

any good wheeling spots besides some ridiculous mud holes are a pretty good drive. I'm so tired of mud though, its not worth the clean up. I like technical trails a lot more. Mud just really doesn't require much skill, just a locker and some common sense.

Lucas road is NOT a legal place to ride. When you get caught, get a ticket and the heep gets impounded, do the web wheeling community a favor and don't mention any sites you visit regularly. Not trying to be an a**, I've just seen too many places in Georgia close due to irresponsible wheelers.

Take the two hour trip to Tellico, you will never want to go back to Lucas again.

Actually lucas has changed people go out there all the time and the cops dont write tickets or impund your rigs anymore. Just as long as you are not out there drinking on the trails and acting like a complete fool. But yeah the cops dont bother us anymore

Whether or not they ticket out there anymore, it is still not legal. That area is a right of way owned by the power company. If there should ever be some sort of accident or someone gets hurt out there it could lead to serious legal issues.

Just FYI, and my .02

I only live about 15 min. from there and would love to have a place that close to ride, but it is just not worth it.
