Looking to pick up a new drill press for the shop. Would like something fairly heavy duty as it will get alot of use. I really never drill anything more than 1/4". Looking for something 12"+. Any input?

Get something that has a fairly slow RPM. My drill press only goes down to 500rpm and for some stuff it's too fast.

Try to find an old one. I have had a couple drill presses and I picked up an antique from a auction and it is the best drill press I have ever had. DOn't get a delta the y are junk. My cousin just bought a Rigid and it is nice and they have a lifetine warranty.

How about some facts to back up your "statment"... Delta is junk.

Maybe you bought the super cheap model or something. Delta makes high end stuff as well.
