View Full Version : Wrangler Electronic Swaybar Disconnect
Has anyone investigated the feasibility of adding one of these to a ZJ or WJ?

It is a start...
Wow, at $100 I'd certainly consider trying to fit it on the ZJ. But at $1000+, I'll need to find a wrecked Wrangler.
(Actually, I'm interested in this for a potential WK purchase - there are no disconnects for the WK, this would be a nice addition. Hell, on the WK, instead of offering 5 engines, maybe they should offer 3 and add the swaybar disconnect option)

Call up your dealer and see if you can pickup an electronic swaybar from a Power Wagon as they started the electronic swaybar disco's with DCX. Maybe they haven't changed that price if it was under a hundred.

If you visit the thread above, DCX had a pricing error, the swaybar was initially priced at < $100. They've since corrected the error and it's now > $1000.
When did the Power Wagon come out? If it was a while ago I could check some junkyards to see if I could find something. I think a Power Wagon swaybar might stabilize the ZJ a bit more than a JK swaybar, too.

I think that they were released two model years ago and there are not a lot of them out there so I doubt that they would be any in the bone yards, but it is worth keeping an eye out for one.
Yeah, and that mechanism on the power wagon is HUGE, and you'd be bashing it all over the place.
