Well, here is the official build thread of my piece of shit. It all started with a 93 zj, 4.0, and the ever so loved 249.

I then upgraded to a 3" skyjacker lift, Kevins 2" spacers, 33s, and I trimmed the fenders way more than needed. I was cool shit:D

Well, that lift was shit, so I got a hold of some 4.5 re coils and some twintube shocks. My ass still hurts. Also threw some new 33" Trxus under it.

Well, the bug had already bit me too hard, so I picked up a 7" KOR long arm kit.

Definitly a good choice, but I now had room for bigger tires.

So last week I picked up a new DD. Ford explorer eddie bauer edition. 89K was too good to pass up on a 93 with new everything.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g109/MississippiZJ/ceceliasdigital002.jpg

And so it begins. Picked up a dana 70 FF 35 spline in very good condition. This axle is fawking huge.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g109/MississippiZJ/updates026.jpg

The cutting begins.....

So thats it for the time being. I need to hunt down a front 60 now. I have some 38.5 worn out boggers that will be going on untill I can afford some 42s, as well as a flipped dana 300. I will be having the cage built if I can not do it, but I feel confident enough doing it while being watched by my girlfriends dad. (welds for a living). So I guess flame me or something, make suggestions, correct my mistakes, and hurt my feelings. Have at it!

Sweet, I take it you have a bender on the way? Are you cutting more or is that it? I really wish I had cut the rear quarterpanels and flooring out and I'll be changing that to get the result that I really want.

Look at you using a covered work area- that's a stroke of genius I wish I'd thought of.. :D

My main idea is to cut the back off right behind the coils. I would just have to figure out what I would do for shock mounts. I still am wondering about leaving the roof over the front section. Might help on a rainy day? I would like some suggestions before my final cuts if you have any. I can always cut more, not less. The only thing I need is a bender. Any suggestions for a highschooler on a budget?

The carport is great for working on the heap. It isnt matts hi-tech super tent, but its dry. :D

Just thought I would post a picture of my favorite zj which is most similar to my projected build. Just a few things different.

So am I erroneous to assume that what's left of your hood will be covered in a likeness of your namesake?

Ok, so quick question. Is it worth it to remove the dash? I removed a lot of the rear weight by cutting some more and I am finding that the jeep is becoming front heavy. How much weight will I save by getting rid of all the dash weight?

Depends on how much shit you wanna keep up there. It would be worth it if you removed the heater core and most of the other electronic gizmos up there, you could probably ditch about 100 pounds of crap. If you're going full buggy, I would recommend ditching the VIC and all the fuse boxes and starting over with just the wires you need. It's a LOT of work but I can imagine that you'd save 20-30 pounds in just the wires alone. Once you start toobing out the rear your weight distribution will even out a little though.

anybody happen to have a wire diagram(s) for what wires are required? With my rug removed, and hopefully the buggy project soon at hand, I would like to start cleaning up some of the wires... esspecially for stuff I dont need.
Sorry to hijack.
