Okay soo first off Im a NoObie on the site, I looked for an hour at least to see if there were any other postings about this and I found nothing, so bare with me::punish:
Ive got a 96ZJ and I want to put a roof rack on it. I found a website that offers Surco Safari racks for reasonable deals... They offer a 45"x50"with a 5" (stanchion??WTF) Then they offer the 45"x60" with 5 inch stanchion and I was wondering if anyone is running the 45x50, and if they liked the look or if I need to go to the 45x60 like recommended on other sites
I apologize if this is a stupid ? I just dont want to buy the rack get it on , and then kick my own ass because it looks stupid

I've got a Surco that i picked up for $100. It holds my spare at the moment, but i would rather have that thing on a tire carrier off the rear. Here's what it looks like on my jeep.

Nah, that fucking air horn on the grand being right in the front of the vehicle makes it easy for water to soak the air filter. When i entered the hole, i made a bit of a splash and the engine cut out. I pulled the air box off the intake to fire it up and make sure i didn't hydro-lock it. So after that i let the filter dry and had my buddies reverse me out of the hole. Did i mention i hate mud and water, don't know why i tried that hole.
