At the end of the day you have to clean your hands or else you can't touch the women. What do you use? Right now i'm using Gojo and something called mule head or something like that and it works alright but I can't get the black stains out of the wrinkles in my hands. Anybody got some magical solution?

This past summer I was working on 4x4s from 9am to at least 7pm, sometimes even 11pm on a typical day. At the shop we used the industrial strength abrasive soap sold thru Cintas. At home I used Napa brand gojo.

Recently I've been using lemon Joy dish soap and it rocks.

I normally use Gojo. One time on the trail I just used some sand/dry dirt and reagular handsoap, worked pretty well.

If my hands are really nasty I mix dishsoap (dawn or palmolive) with something like fast-orange or any of the abrasive cleaners. If they're not extremely nasty I just use dish soap. At this time of year though when my hands are cracked and dry from the cold there's absolutely nothing I can do to clean them short of not working on anything for a couple weeks.

Yeah gojo has been working fine, it's just that when I want to go out on friday and saturday night I can't get my hands clean enough to not look like a dirty POS. Can't seem to get the black out of the cracks in my hand mostly around the index finger area (places where grease really gets worked into the skin)

Your hands are too freaking dry. Use girly lotion BEFORE working on your jeep. Whats happening is the grease and oil is soaking into your skin, staining under the top layer of skin.... I use gojo too....sometimes nitrile gloves or some cheap mechanics gloves.

I use the cheap ass citrus mechanic soap from Crappy Tire and if it's needed a stiff scrub brush.

ALWAYS gets my hands clean.
Now if I could just stop from cutting my hands on a regular basis my GF would be happy.

I have yet to finish a day of working on the Jeep, or anything, without getting some sort of cut, mashed finger, scrape, etc. People are starting to think I'm 'emo' from all the cuts...

Oh you don't know the half of it.
My hands use to be all srcaped, scarred, bloody, etc.

Then the Jeep blew up and my hands have never been as nice lol.

Shit, Pam barely even lets me wrench in the garage alone anymore. It kinda hurts when you stick a flat head screwdriver into your hand!

I use some kind of pumice stuff, it's got an orange lid and the tub is white, NO clue what the brand is and I'm not about to go look, but it works better than GoJo and doesn't reek to high hell.

I use Gojo, those huge ones (1.25 gallons?) are only like $7 at Sams. I often wear gloves though, no one likes a computer tech / consultant / anyone in a suit and tie with grease stains on their hands...

I use whatever is cheap.

My hands get dirty all week at work... not like I have to impress anyone.

So do bolt threads when they scrape up against your cold, dry fingers. I need to start wearing gloves...

I use Fast Orange. I started wearing Mechanix gloves, I really like them. But I know what you mean about the black stuff staying, I use an old toothbrush to scrub, it works pretty well.

at the motorcycle garage we get this shit called cherry bomb by zep, smells good, not real rough and works amazing. I rarely use gloves except when changing fluids even when working on the heap and it still gets me clean enough to go home lol

i use brake cleaner.

just kidding, usually permatex fast orange or DL. don't have to use the stuff much anymore because i picked up on the habit of using mechanic gloves now. saves many bloody knuckles (not all though).

I have several pairs of gloves but rarely wear them because they take out a lot of sensitivity.

I usually use my left hand. Easier to click with my right.

Get a fingernail brush. I got mine from the Matco guy , but I've seem them other places too.

Glad you bumped this. The solution is napa hand cleaner (pumice works a little better). You don't have to actually get abrasive like you do with gojo - the chemical actually removes the grease. I've never had to wash my hands twice using napa brand. Also it has a lotion built in so your hands feel pretty good afterwards.

I use a squirt of gojo and a squirt of joy dishwashing soap (50/50 mix) and am amazed how well it cleans vs just the gojo stuff and have an old hard toothbrush for the hard spots to like the fingernails

I use GOJO wipes. We've been using them at work for a couple of years now, and they clean your hands really well so I started to use them at home too.

If you clean your hands with that pumice stuff 2 or 3 times a day, you will not like it after a few days in a row.It slowly remove your skin like sand paper. GO JO Lemon and a vegetable cleaning brush from the supermarket works well after the surgical gloves tear.

I wash my hands with that napa pumice stuff atleast 15 times a day.
