The woman's car wasn't cutting it. I convinced her to get a Tracker. Its small, easy to work on and hell its even got a GMC lable on the side. (The GMC tag makes it easier for me to justify working on it.)

the plans are Toy axles
Double triangulated 4 link rear
3 link with panhard front
power Stearing, possibly hydro assyst.

And this thing will be her Daily driver.

So here are the pic's.

That bumper looks good!

I miss mine. maybe these pics will help.
She had toy's f/r Triangulated 4 link f/r.
sidekick t-case mated to a toy case.
Lot's of other goodies. This was driven on the street regulaurly.

There fun rigs. I loved the extra room over the sami's. Although people would always say..."nice samari" or "nice jeep":screwy:

Bumper looks great. This is an exciting one for me to watch. Keep the pics coming.

Don't laugh at the pizza cutters. I was waiting on my beadlocks. That's my dad.

Just thought I'd mention. The Toy axle's were to narrow for a Sidekick/tracker. If I did it again I would have used waggy 44 or something.
Those pics with the boggers are 3.5 backspace 8 inch wide. And I'm running 2 inch wheelspacers!!!!!:(

I would recomend reinforcing the crumple zone on the front of the frame.

the frame is VERY close to a ZJ frame in comparason to the material thickness.

The frame design is freeking hilariouse. almost two straight peices os 2x4x.0625 HSS>

Yes, but what I like is the way it ARCS way up over the coils. Let's you have a smooth bellypan with lots of room for coil buckets mounted to lower side of frame. (does that make sense?)

i Started on the rear axle.

shaved and plated.

I still need to add a small peice on the right side just above the bottom plate. Just so it matches the left side.

Oh and the fill plug was Fucked so i added a 1/2" NPT scully. i will get a flush Hex plug to keep the oil in.

All the plating is 1/4". I don't want to have to fix shit after she smashed it into rocks and shit.

if my steel supplier woudl deliver the dom faster i woudl ba all over this. i'v been waiting on the material for the rear arms for over 3 weeks.

the rear disk break swap is done.

plus i ordered 1860'' of 1-3/4" .120 ERW and 260' of 1-1/2" .120 ERW Tubing for some cages.

the spring perches are done for the front and rear. all i need to do is weld the axle brakets on the rear axle. set up the gears.

then work on the front.

i could have this thing done in 2 weeks if all the damn parts woudl show up.

I bought a set of 35" trXus and a set of 15 x 10 3.5" BS rims. this thing is going to be a monster.

If i put a WK grill on the front can i bring it to GSW??

You think you have enough opposing triangulation? You could have run the uppers to converge at the center of the housing and the the lowers converge at the center of the crossmember, no?

Looks like enough triangulation to me. I would be willing to bet he'd have driveshaft interference if the links were mounted in the center of the diff. Especially at full compression, even moreso if he wanted to run the Hi9 3rd.

I don't think Hi9 makes a yota case.

But he could run a fj, or custom high pinion case for a yota.

I don't think it's going to be all that tall, so except for rock clearance a high won't be neccesary for the rear.(driveline should be fine, mine was with lift for 39's and dual cases) The front will be tight unless he limits uptravel alot. So low should be fine F and R.

The triangulation is more than adequate. Specifically cause uppers and lowers have it. If the lowers were dead straight he might want more on the top. But beings both are there's plenty

Oops, I thought that was a 9". Didn't look close enough.

Kraqa
04-23-2007, 06:26 PM
I have more then enough triangulation. Its like 55 degrees OA. the uppers are beside the axle to allow for maximum compression. The tracker has a x-member that also hold the gas tank in place, and the floor boards are very close to the frame. I do not want to run a body lift like most Suzuki guys.

I decided to run TJ stocks all around. Under the frame rails. Outboard as far as I can in order to not rub the tires. I went with the 35x12.5R15 Trxus MT’s on a 15 x 10 rim with 3.75 BS.

This thing is gonna be WIDE. I also have 180’ of 1-1/2” x 0.120 ERW sitting in the shop for the cage. OHHH I can’t wait.

The rear shocks are getting changed tonight. cause wel they were thrown on quickly to get Kelsey Rolling. I still need to do exhaust but with this 4 link i should have no problem outting the stock muffler back on.

THen rock sliders, rear bumper and fender protection. Oh and i will be putting in a cross support spanning the top of the shock towers over the motor, this will be removable as you well know.

DUDE I didn't know you were in BC! I gotta stop by next I'm heading south. Nice work, I usually hate Trackers. Theres alot of gay ones around here with 29" Thornbirds and a 3 inch body lift.
