i was wondering what kind of axles are these ?? quite the setup all the same , pics arnt the greatest, they have the steering ram built into the housing and they have outer planetaries, i think they are out of a airplane puller for an airport

With the single pivot pin in the middle, looks to be a front axle out of some sort of tractor. The ends of his top links looks to be a tractor top link.

yeah dont mind the links in the pics they are mock up tubes for the monster truck hes building , i was just wondering what kind of axles they were , and where he can get parts for them , id say they would work good in a buggy, with the hydraulic rams for steering built into the housings ,and the planetery hubs for gear reduction

definately out of a tractor with the center pivot. I bet the gears are too low for much use though.

It looks like the axles under the TUGs we use for pulling planes around. I can't remember the brand.

They are ok, but really not that strong and kinda one off compared to a rockwell or something like that.

Rated for low H.P. and slow MPH... lots of torque though.

The ram is beautifully protected and looks to be fairly serviceable.
Thank God I don't have to look at another thread about a high pinion 30.
Since when were full hydro steering axles with portal boxes gay?
Who said they were going under a Jeep- Bet they'd be plenty strong for a sammy.
If the first guy who ever put rockwells under his rig had posted up here beforehand, the parrots would have called him an idiot.

its basicly a smaller version of a monster truck, its not something to go fast in or even rockcrawl, just something to waste time in building and a conversation piece

Damn I wish I had the time and money to simply build something as a conversation piece!!!

Those axles look almost exactly like the ones in our Cat Telehandler TH88 at my work...

TH88= 4x4 Fork Lift with rear steer.
