Finally went wheelin for the first time in a long ass time. Started out doing a night run with a few rigs Friday night, then today a total of about 30 rigs showed up throughout the day (went from 12-9pm). Most of the rigs were mainly TJ's, there were some Land Rovers, a few CJ's, a Willy's with a dualy rear, a few ATV's, and then a Commanche and a few Cherokee's. Wasnt able to get all the rigs in pics, but still got some pretty good shoots. The runs went well, a few of the CJ's had to be winched out of spots, one of them basically flopped on its side, a Rubicon killed his engine, YJ broke a U-joint during the night run, a Cherokee ripped off his exhuast, and I finally lost my front bumper cover and ran over it. Also ran into a few close calls by almost doing an endo and flopping the ZJ. Got some new body damage too, woot. The trails were very slick in most parts.

Overall it was a great way to wheel after not going in such a long time, almost forgot how fun it was to bash up against things . Here are some of the pics taken, enjoy.

Even got a little video. I ran the same trail the night before and didnt have much trouble then, mainly rode the walls though.

Being open sucks, but I eventually made it.

kool man!!!

but uuummmmm..... i hope you picked up yer damage.
pics 14 and 16 looks like others drivin over plastic stuff.
just a thought, not an accusation my man. but if we all pick up one piece, even if it isn't our own, trails will be much cleaner and we would be welcomed more.

Yeah when the bumper fell off we just threw it on the roof and drove it back to camp. The ranch has a spot where everyone throws their trail damage, so its there. In those pics you mentioned are old pipes that are burried underground, the ranch I believe used to be a mine. Also, the nearby clubs do a good job in maintaining the park and surrounding areas, like for example Texas A&M Off Road I believe cleans the section of highway that the ranch is located on every few weeks or so. Everyone helps out with the park, its a great place to wheel.

good job man!!
great of them to have a part-pit too , lol keeps things tidy if everyone has an area close at hand to dispose of the carnage.

looks like fun! are you in TX4WD? I saw the logo on the MJ and I'm in the Katy West Houston Chapter and on their forums too. I'm only like an hour and a half from there and my brother goes to A&M.

Yeah I'm somewhat a member of the Bryan/College Station chapter, I wheel with them and do 'sport' their sticker (can see it in the last pic;)) but I'm not on the forums. I'm more active with TAMOR and a small Jeep club. You should get some of your guys together and come down here for a run. TX4WD will have their meeting in 2 weeks which are held at the ranch, can go wheelin after.

*UPDATE 04/01/2007*

Did some wheelin today at BVORR. It turned out to be a very nice day, Bluebonnets were growing all around the trails so it made for some great pictures. There were only a few rigs, my ZJ, 3 TJ's, 2 XJ's, and an FJ Cruiser. No carnage other than one of the XJ's overheating, but we did have some scary off camber shots. Enjoy.

I was the first to attempt this trail, my front drivers tire fell into a hole near the top and the rear rose quickly... got a good 4-5 feet in the air. Scared the crap outta me by how fast it went up, after all the posing shots I was able to make it down the trail easy. After that some of the others wanted to see if they could get into the same situation. One of the TJ's even managed to put it on its side for a few seconds. BTW thats not me in the pic by the tire.
