here is where it all started

i got the rig and put a bb and a set or 245/75/16 tires on it

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/P2060008.jpg

then went to the 6.5" RK long arm kit , it drove very well compared to stock at first cause all the stock CA bushings were really wore out . but after a few months the joints in the links really started making some noice, but everyone already knows about RK crud
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/jeep1.jpg

then a custom tube winch bumper me and a buddy put together in a wknd

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/wjbumper2.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/wjbumper4.jpg

i finally got my tires and rims after about 2 months,
35x12.50x15 interco trxus, and 15x8 crager soft 8s

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/CIMG0109.jpg

added an ABS pipe snorkel

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/CIMG0309.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/CIMG0318.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/CIMG0323.jpg

fabbed up a rear bumper after i beat the crap out of the stock plastic cover

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/DSCN1855.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/DSCN1856.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/DSCN1857.jpg

i finally got around to doing my axle swap , i used a hp dana 44 and a ford 9" full width from a 78 f-150, with 1 ton chevy TRE's and DOM , dont have any good pics , these are the perfect width for a wj with over a 35" tire IMO

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/IMG_0075.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/adam1000s/my%20jeep/IMG_0074.jpg

and here are the current pics , i was going to use some TJ flares but i decided to chop the front and rear fender wells instead

the spool will be good on the trail, my buddy has one in his YJ with 60's under it , he loves it , sucks on pavement though , if its that bad i can always unlock one hub

Now thats more like it. I was getting tired of all the WJ's on 31's who were afraid to get their undercarriage dirty. Looking good!

Uh oh, you freaking out over one persons comments? Won't last long here:tease:

You said you have "box rockers" - what are those? You just toss some square steel under your rockers?

box rockers are rockers that use a peice of rectangle tubing (most use 3"x5"x 3/16" or 1/4") and cut the sheet metal rocker out and put this in , tying it to the A and B pillars , its very strong, works good as a slider and as a jacking point , the 3x5 gets layed flat so its a wide base for a skid
do a search on it , it looks sharp and dont take away ground clearence because it is the same height as the stock rockers

heres a link on pirate4x4
Box steel rocker panel conversion (http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/rockers/rockers.htm)

nice rig, do you have some mre shots of your 44 CA mounts? intrested in the install because of the cast radius arm mounts on ford front end. this is what i am dealing with right now.

adam99wj
02-01-2007, 02:34 PM
i will get a few in a bit , i used some 3x3 box steel and cut one side off it, and then radiused it out to fit the cast radius arm mounts , you will understand when you see the pics

Nice WJ, Glad to see antoher wheeler out there. I like the bumpers, but why tube in the front and plate in the rear. That would look sweet with the rear a tube bumper also, oh and tube the roof rack too. I've been waiting to see a WJ with tube bumpers. Just the front is kinda a teaser. Love the rig though.
Why the snorkel, do you really submerge that thing? If so, did you waterproof everything else?
Anyway, Nice WJ and welcome to MC where Arlo even thinks I'm a newbe:o
FYI to others. Looks like a mud rig not a trail rig. Don't see many tree's or tight trails in those pics. On that note....is that a legal mud hole?

adam99wj

the reason for the plate bumper in the rear is i got all the steel for free , so i couldnt resist!!

i built the snorkel because there is alot of swampy trails here and i was gettin sick of soaking air filters , i was just goin to make a few water deflectors but i decided to do that instead

ahh yeah i would say so , im a mehanic in the canadian mlitary , the pic is in the tank training area of canadian forces base Gagetown, in new brunswick canada
