It is some Chinese made shit....but since most of what you're paying for is steel girders, I really don't see too much that could go wrong. It was $100 cheaper than the 20 ton Harbor Freight, and looks pretty much the same as what they are selling.

What kinds of things is it good for?
u-joints bearings etc?
or more for metal fab?

But what you saved in the cost of the unit itself, you lost in shipping. Harbor Freight's website says $11.99 shipping when I go to the checkout for a total of $211.98.

With the big shit, I usually go to a local Harbor Freight - many times they have a sale in the store that isn't advertised online. Last year they had the "A" frame 20-ton press for $99 and the 50-ton for $300. I almost picked up the 50-ton, but I didn't have the room to put it anywhere at the time :(

I didn't realize that Harbor Freight was so cheap on the shipping for a big item. $100 didn't seem too bad for shipping a 200lb item. Good to know for the future.

HF is ok...

Parts on sale with 20% coupon...

Press $136 out the door
Air Jack $60 out the door

total $196 not to shabby, but adding the Air Jack gave me a spare 20ton manual jack.

The only bad thing about the HF Press is that its short... I gave mine a 14" lift kit !

Hey Aprilz, if that really was a Snap On press, it would probable be $1,360 instead of $136.

Chuck, to answer your question, it is 5'2".

HF and the other presses are ok, i have used mine for tones of stuff from carrier bearings, pinion bearings to 1/2 shaft (on a Jag) to u joints. it works great for most. I bent c channel on the bottom piece but it still works just fine.

I like the red better than the HF orange. Nice press.

We have a Harbor Freight press at the dealership....I bet the race teams(HMS for you NASCAR fans) get the same quality equipment we get at the dealerships.
