Ok, I'm not sure where on the board this thread should go?

Anyhow, I am wanting to build a fuel tank for diesel for my tow rig to go in the bed. About 40 gallons or so. Basically bed height and width and about 8-10" deep. It would gavity feed into the main tank.

I have an idea on how to build it, but I was hoping someone on here has done this type of work before and could suggest how to make a tank that is leak free?

Material is 16 guage sheetmetal. I would like to go thicker, but I got 2 4x9 foot sheets that are gathering rust. I may double wall the top and side facing the tailgate though.

I was thinking of building an angle iron frame and then skinning it with the sheetmetal. Fill cap on the top and a vent and then a bug on the side for fuel exist.
Perhaps build the floor of the tank sloped so most of the fuel would drain out.

Alot of guys run a tank, but they are bought. They have them at the local farm store, but they want like $300. The one I looked at was all warped and had probably 10 or 15 gallons of water in it from sitting outside for so long! Plus no baffles or anything like that.
